Mena`s Palace on Iberville in New Orleans

A good breakfast in the Quarter. It gets crowded so be patient. It has a airy feeling with the doors open even though it is not a large dining room.

Two Yankees ate breakfast (and one lunch!) at Men's"s Palace every day for five days! Loved the food. Great service and laughs from Elli and Leo (and Chelsea)! Thank you SO much!

Adorable corner restaurant/diner! Came for a simple breakfast, and loved it. High quality ingredients, delicious potatoes and grits and eggs. Fast and friendly service, no wait at 9am on a Sunday. Highly recommend for a simple quality breakfast.

The food here is delicious! Great po’boys. Wonderful red beans and rice. And fried chicken to die for. And, the best service we have had-quick, informative, and friendly. You should eat here.

My girlfriends and I went to Mena’s Palace on Mardi Gras morning, we were looking for some good breakfast food. Although we had to wait in line outside the host was very attentive and continued to update us with the wait status. When we sat down the server named Chelsea was amazing. She was very sweet and catering. The food was amazing and the peach mimosa that Chelsea suggested was incredible. The service and the hospitality was so great that we decided to go back again today and specifically asked and waited to be served by Chelsea, and the lunch menu was just as great. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants great service and good home style food. Check out Chelsea because she was great.

The absolute hands down best cold roast beef sandwich I have had in a long long time. Very creamy mayo based sauce with the meat drippings on a great french roll. The chili was very tasty. It had no beans for all the purists out there. This is a great stop in the quarter for a quick refuel. Hidden gem, been around forever, no line.

My favorite place until now in New Orleans, has all, a nice and quick service, a great number of options in the menu with some specials each day and local beers. What else can be ask, oh yes an acceptable price including the typical NO dishes. I said it, I will definitely be back here in my next trip to the city. See my shrimp creole plate picture.

We happened upon Mena’s on our last day in New Orleans. The service and did is Amazing. Over the years we have eaten at many places in NOLA, Mena’s is now at the top of the list!

Very tasty breakfast place. My friend got the mufelata and it was really tasty. My veal parmigian was a close second. The service was really good and table turniver was fast enough that we got seated easily enough. Its a pretty tight fit but that adds to the charm. Definitely good for groups and reasonably priced. Wouldn't say its an essentiall NOLA visit, but you wint go wrong for breakfast.

Love us some Mena’s. The best home fries I’ve tasted thus far while vacationing. The pancakes and french toast you must try. The staff is friendly and the service is always great. During city events they will get crowded and a line will form. But it’s worth the wait.

This place is most definitely open!! We have been here twice on our visit to New Orleans this Christmas season and will most likely be back a third time & of course every time we come back into town!! We enjoyed their breakfast which they serve until noon! I’m coming back for their bread pudding & lunch!Their andouille sausage omelet is amazing! We absolutely love their breakfast potatoes!Let me tell you about their bacon! Yummy!What originally brought me here was a picture of their bacon & hot cakes!! They lived up to the pictures!!You come in and seat yourself! We enjoyed all of our visits!Make sure you try a drink from their bar!! They have a lemon cello mimosas drink!!

Huge plates of great food! I had the shrimp poboy and got it dressed. I didn't need the fries, but they were great too!

This place is has a great breakfast. Fast and friendly service. I got the cajun tasso omelette and it was delicious!

My wife had the Cajun Tasso omelet and loved it. I had the Andouille sausage omelet and loved it. We shared a hot cake and loved it. Great coffee. Very, very reasonable pricing for the Quarter ... Make this your breakfast stop at least once, great little establishment with great service.

This was a great place to go to for breakfast. I had the veggie omelette with home fries. All of it was delicious. The servers were friendly and efficient. Prices were fair. I'd come back again!

The food and service was so great that we went two days in a row. And if there’s a wait to get in, it’s worth it!!!

Husband and I had breakfast here. We got our omelets & one plate with 3 pieces of unbutered rye toast. I ordered dry rye and my husband ordered buttered rye. We called the waitress over to let her know that my husband didn't get his toast. She said breakfast comes with only 1 slice. We got 1 slice and a 1/2 of one slice. She never said that toast doesn't come buttered when we ordered. So taken back that I did not say anymore. Food was good but would not come back here.

Mena's Palace for breakfast is a must. Order the made in house Tasso. You can order the omelet but I suggest the Cajun hash browns with Tasso The service is friendly and ask for Javarnna...she makes your meal just a little better.

I love coming here for breakfast. Food and service is good and the location near Canal St behind the Marriott is convenient to the French Quarter and CBD.

Overall: A quality diner in the heart of the Bourbon St. neighborhood. The good: Walked right in and sat down and were immediately tended to. The menu is pretty extensive regardless of whether you want breakfast or lunch, and there’s different specials every day. The prices are great, especially compared to some of the other rip-offs in the area. My salad came with a huge “do-it-yourself” salad mixer, which meant the dressing was fresh. The red beans and rice hit the gut in the right spot, as did the rest of the guys’ lunches. And, the portion sizes were huge to match.The not-so-good: The restaurant was freezing and the presentation could’ve been a tad better, but that said it is a diner so I don’t want to criticize too much. The service, while friendly, was a bit on the slower side at times, and we had to get our own hot sauces from other tables.Food/Drink: 8/10Service: 8/10Atmosphere: 8/10

We went here nearly every morning whilst on holiday. Staff were so friendly & helpful. Their French toast and bacon; my god, I still dream about it. Would give more stars if possible!

When I go to New Orleans my meal metric is whether the food is worth the caloric intake or not (after all you are in New Orleans). Mena’s fell short of my metric on this visit and I place it in the average category.I had the fried oysters which were plump and not overly breaded. They also had a pleasant flavor. However, the accompanying salad was merely a pile of iceberg lettuce. The french fries tasted like soggy cardboard and not worth the effort. Judging my the lines this place is very popular, however with so many other dining options you may want to explore elsewhere. In fairness, my sample was only one all fried food dish so maybe its the other options that bring in the lines.

Delicious meal with great service!

Food was pretty good. It's a small little diner like place.Homemade chili was very good and fries were great. Chicken friend steak was great too but the mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a box. Turkey club sandwich was good. Spices on the food taste great. They make their own homemade spice mix which we were able to buy to bring home!

Ordered the Grilled Chicken plate which comes with a baked potato and side salad, I asked for a Cesar Salad as my side salad but I got what ever they decided to give me, also asked them to add cheese to my baked potato (which normally comes with just butter and sour cream), needless to say I got a DRY potato with only cheese thrown on top of it, no butter or sour cream. Thank you for paying attention to what your customers ask and pay for!

Small space but lovely and fast turn around. Po-boys are delicious. Add an order of fries because they are perfection. Staff is very friendly! Went a second time for a quick breakfast. The menu is limited but everything was cooked to perfection.

Yo ate here almost everyday. Cajun hash browns are bomb. Definitely what you need and what you want. Wait staff is friendly. Almost no wait for breakfast.
